Carolina Cranesbill is a drought tolerant, low growing, palmate leaved plant that can reseed into problem areas where other plants may not care to grow.

Its small pink flowers attract long- tongued bees, short-tongued bees, and flies for its nectar and birds for its seeds. Its interesting leaf shape, seed shape and the red coloring in the fall add to its charm.

Carolina Geranium is an excellent plant for a naturalized area where it can spread freely. It prefers well-drained soil and is drought-tolerant once established. Deer enjoy the leaves, and birds enjoy the seeds.
