This grass is a stunner. Not only does it look amazing in groupings, its fluffy haze of pink looks incredible backlit by the sun. It holds a nice green color through winter and the plumes will remain, fading to a lovely winter beige.
Also known as Pink Hairgrass, this plant will grow to 4' tall x 3' spread and performs best in full sun with a tendancy to flop if not given enough afternoon sun. Must have well drained soils.
Attracts butterflies, provides cover year-round, and birds eat the seed. Drought, deer, black walnut and salt tolerant. Great for erosion control. Cut back in early March to promote fresh full growth.
