Phlox paniculata 'Jeana' was labeled the "top rank in both agricultural and ecological evaluations" of Mt. Cuba Centers phlox trials.  Five feet tall at bloom, 'Jeana' attracted the most butterflies and remained mildew free, a condition that plagues tall phloxes. 'Jeana' is an exceptional beauty lending a traditional feel to your garden borders. 
 
Phlox paniculata blooms midsummer to early fall, preferring part shade and moist, well-drained soils. Good airflow, proper spacing, and not watering from above (think drip line) will help fend off powdery mildew. This plant is not drought tolerant.
