White Wood Aster is hightly valuable to wildlife, grows in open woodlands, dappled sunlight to part shade, and is deer and drought tolerant. It is decorated with white daisy like flowers in late summer to early fall which are beloved by specialized bees, butterflies and many other pollinators. The birds eat the seed. Even better, it is also a Pearl Cresent butterfly host plant!
