Hairy Wood Mint is one of my favorite pollinator plants. With its charming clusters of lavender-pink flowers and aromatic foliage, this native perennial is resistant to deer browsing, and its ability to attract butterflies, bees, and other beneficial insects makes it an excellent choice for wildlife-friendly gardens.
 
Also called Hairy Pagoda Plant, it is pollinated by long-tongued bees, Halcitid bees, Syrphid flies, butterflies, skippers, and bee flies.
 
Hairy Pagoda Plant prefers moist part sun to lightly shaded sights and will
spread by rhizomes to form dense, weed-suppressing colonies. It is rare, threatened or of special concern in several states.
